1. Our services
Stellar Credit Co helps you review your credit reports and challenge items that appear to be inaccurate, unverifiable, or outdated. Our services may include:
- Reviewing your credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion with you.
- Preparing and sending dispute letters to the credit bureaus.
- Preparing and sending dispute or validation letters to furnishers (the creditors, lenders, and collection agencies that report information about you).
- Tracking responses and results, and keeping you updated through your client portal.
- Sharing general education about building and maintaining healthy credit.
We only dispute items we believe in good faith to be inaccurate, unverifiable, or outdated. We do not dispute information that is accurate and verifiable, we do not create new credit identities, and we do not advise anyone to make false statements to a creditor or credit bureau. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
2. No guarantee of results
The credit bureaus and furnishers make their own decisions after investigating a dispute. Accurate, timely, and verifiable information can legally stay on your report. Your results depend on your unique credit history, the responses we receive, and your own credit habits during and after our work together.
3. Fees and billing
Under the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), we charge fees only after the services they cover have been fully performed. We never ask for payment in advance for work that has not been done.
- Your fees, what each fee covers, and when it is due are described in your written client agreement.
- We will not charge you for any service until that service is completed.
- If you have a question about a charge, email us and we will be happy to walk through it with you.
4. Your right to cancel
This matches the cancellation period in your client agreement and goes beyond the three business days required by federal law. To cancel, send us a written notice by email to support@stellarcreditco.com or by using the cancellation form provided with your agreement. Your notice should include your name and the date. If you cancel within this period, you will owe nothing, and any money you have paid will be refunded.
After the cancellation period, you may still end our services at any time by letting us know in writing. You will only be responsible for fees for services that were fully performed before you cancelled.
5. Your responsibilities
Credit repair works best as a team effort. As our client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information. Give us true, complete, and current information about yourself and your accounts, and let us know promptly if anything changes.
- Upload your ID and proof of address. Upload a clear copy of a valid government issued photo ID and a recent proof of address (such as a utility bill or bank statement) to your client portal. The credit bureaus often require these to verify your identity before they process a dispute.
- Keep credit monitoring active through IdentityIQ. Keep your IdentityIQ credit monitoring subscription active for the full time you work with us. We use it to view your reports and track progress. If your monitoring lapses, our work may be paused until it is restored.
- Share mail you receive. Upload or forward any letters you receive from the credit bureaus, creditors, or collectors so we can respond on time.
- Be honest. Never ask us to dispute information you know is accurate.
6. Email and text messages
By signing up, you agree that Stellar Credit Co may contact you by email and by text message at the email address and mobile number you provide. We use these messages for things like account updates, dispute progress, document requests, appointment reminders, and occasional helpful tips.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
- You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by writing to us.
- Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send important messages about your account and services.
- Agreeing to receive messages is not a condition of buying any service.
7. Privacy and data security
Your personal and financial information is sensitive, and we treat it that way.
- We collect only the information we need to provide our services, such as your contact details, identification documents, and credit reports.
- We use your information only to deliver our services, communicate with you, and meet our legal obligations.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We share your information only with the credit bureaus and furnishers as part of your disputes, with trusted service providers who help us run our business (such as our client portal and credit monitoring partners), or when required by law.
- We use reasonable safeguards, including secure, password protected systems and limited staff access, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
- Please keep your portal login private, and let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
8. You can do this yourself
You are also entitled to free copies of your credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com. Choosing to work with us is about saving you time and having support through the process. A copy of the required federal disclosure, "Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law," is provided to you before you sign your client agreement.
9. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Any dispute about these terms or our services will be handled in the courts located in Bexar County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change, we will let current clients know by email. Changes will not affect the terms of a client agreement you have already signed unless you agree to them. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the updated terms.
